A lot!
In Boy Scouts in general, and in Troop 257 in particular, Boy
Scouts:
 | Have fun in an
atmosphere where each Scout belongs to a team (or "patrol"). Our program has
something of interest to everyone: swimming, camping, sports, historic hikes,
whitewater rafting, nature, rappelling & climbing, just to name a few. |
 | Learn essential
skills, such as Scoutcraft (e.g., fire safety, knots & survival),
self-sufficiency (e.g., cooking & camping), and teamwork. |
 | Mentor younger
Scouts through encouragement and positive reinforcement. |
 | Give Back to
their community through participation in community service projects and by
helping older Scouts with Eagle service projects. |
