Troop Meeting Equipment

q     Field uniform (see section on Scout Uniforms)

q     Boy Scout Handbook

q     Pen or pencil and paper

Overnight Camp-out Equipment

Troop meeting equipment plus:

q     Clothing appropriate to the weather. Anticipate plus or minus 20 degrees from the forecast.

q     Sleeping bag (3 lb. or 3-l/2 lb. for spring, summer and fall. Heavier for winter)

q     Ground cloth or pad (E.g.: Thermarest or Ridgerest) to provide insulation from the ground.

q     Pillow

q     Pack gear in a soft bag or a tote.  Please do not bring camp boxes or suitcases on monthly camp-outs.

q     Clothes:

q     Activity uniform (Class “B”)       q   T-shirt(s)                q   Jeans/pants or shorts

q     PJs – top, bottom & socks          q   Long sleeve shirt      q   Underwear

q     Socks

q     Poncho or raincoat

q     Boots (waterproofed with Camp Dry or similar). Tennis shoes are not recommended.

q     Mess kit (individual) or plastic bowl and cup.   Knife, fork and spoon.

q     Canteen or water bottle

q     Compass

q     Scout pocket knife (No longer than three inches and no sheath knives)

q     Flashlight with extra batteries and bulb

q     Toilet kit (toothpaste, brush, soap and towel)

q     Bug repellent and sun screen

Additional Desired Camping Equipment

q     Suitable back pack (third year Scouts and above)

q     Personal first aid kit

q     Thermal Blanket (may be used when the sleeping bag is too light for the weather)

q     Troop approved camp box with lock (for summer camp only)

q     Collapsible stool without a back.  (Only adults and Eagle Scouts can use chairs with backs!)

q     Food money, when appropriate
