Uniforms

Uniforms

Troop 257 requires each Scout to regularly wear one of two categories of uniforms, depending on the event. Each uniform has a variation we refer to as "formal." Brief descriptions of the uniforms are below.

Field Uniform: "Class A"

This uniform consists of the official Scout khaki shirt, a Troop 257 neckerchief and tie slide, blue jean pants or shorts and Scout belt. Worn at troop meetings and to all campouts.

Formal Field Uniform

Same as above, except Scout must wear official BSA shorts or pants, and official BSA socks. Worn at Summer Camp and, along with the merit badge sash, at courts of honor.

Activity Uniform: "Class B"

This consists of the official Troop 257 red t-shirt, blue jean pants or shorts and a Scout belt. Occasionally worn in place of Field uniform at troop meetings.

Formal Activity Uniform

Same as above, except Scout must wear official BSA shorts or pants, and official BSA socks. Worn for some activities during Summer Camp.
