Junior Leader Training

The Junior Leader Training that was postponed earlier has been rescheduled for Saturday, November 21 from 9 AM to 1 PM at Atonement Lutheran Church.  This is the same day as the Friends of 257 Pancake Breakfast and annual meeting, so scouts will be able to come enjoy a hot pancake breakfast before starting JLT.

Junior Leader Training (JLT) is a program to help Scouts be more effective as youth leaders.  Please note that JLT is a required activity for Scouts holding leadership positions for advancement credit.  JLT must be attended within the past year to obtain credit for the leadership position.  However, any Scout can attend and will benefit from the training, including first year Scouts.

JLT will include instructional talks from some of our senior Scouts, some fun interactive activities, and of course, LUNCH.

Please let me know if your son would like to attend, so we can get a head count for the activities and pizza.  We'll also have a sign-up sheet out at tomorrow's troop meeting.

Thanks,
Brian M.
