Proud Parents of Troop 257,
Remember that Visitors Day is Day 3 - Sunday June 6 from 10am until
5pm.
Please arrive by 10:45am at the latest (I encourage you to arrive at
10am or a little earlier because of parking limitations) . At 11am we
will have a brief gathering of everyone to make announcements, discuss
how camp is going, possibly recognize some advancements and say grace.
We hope to be eating lunch as a troop by 11:30am.
For lunch or after lunch your son(s) may want to show you around camp or
you may want to leave the reservation for awhile. If you choose to
leave the camp reservation with your Scout please sign them out at the
bulletin board and make sure they sign back in when you return.
Also, remember to bring extra food and ice with you on Visitors Day.
Your lunch leftovers are our evening meal. We will have coolers and
food containers available for you to leave ice and food in for us. Your
generosity is greatly appreciated!
If you have a Scout(s) in camp with us then please plan on coming to
Visitors Day. All of these boys want to see their parents and family
members! If you can not attend make sure you have made arrangements for
your Scout(s) to be with another family for lunch and activities during
the day. Do not let them feel left out or forgotten! If you are making
these kind of arrangements please let me know directly in advance of us
leaving for camp on Friday.
Additionally, remember that the Scouts need to be back in the campsite
by 5pm on Sunday so we can prepare dinner and get ready for the evening
activities.
We are looking forward to a great camp and a safe / fun filled Visitor's
